The Manitoba Theatre for Young People is a performing arts theatre geared towards children and youth. Located in The Forks, the 27,000 S.F. facility includes four studios and a theatre with a capacity for 315 audience members. Structural systems include: slab on grade foundation, steel frame structure, a curvilinear metal roof structure and playful exterior precast columns. These columns were molded with a fabric formwork by C.A.S.T.  at the University of Manitoba, providing an interesting precedent in the field of fabric molded concrete.
